The college won 4 national self-funded projects in 2019

Up tonow, four projects of the college have been approved by the National NaturalScience Foundation of China in 2019, including one general project, two Tianyuanprojects, and one youth project, with a total amount of about 1.13 millionyuan.

TheNational Natural Science Foundation of China is the highest-level, mostinfluential and most-funded project category in China's current natural scienceproject funding system. It is an important criterion for testing the strengthof natural science research. Moreover, it has strong traction to promote talenttraining, lead scientific research development, support disciplineconstruction, and improve the comprehensive level of colleges and schools.

Thecollege leaders pay close attention to the cultivation and application of theNational Natural Science Foundation of China. More specifically, they plan inadvance, deploy closely, and implement multiple measures together to achievejoint management.Thecollege starts the pre-application of the next year's project in October eachyear. The college hold a mobilization meeting to find out the applicationsituation; arrange for teachers to participate in several professionalcounseling reports from domestic well-known experts. Meanwhile, the college organizeexperts inside and outside the school to discuss about the teachers'declarations, and answer one-on-one to the applicants’ questions.Moreover, the scientific research secretary of the college will work with theteachers of the Academy of Science and Technology to review the applicationmaterials one by one, and check if there are missing items to compact allaspects of the application.
